#23 YOU CAN GO YOUR OWN WAY...

So i finally come to the end of learning 2.0 and what a ride it has been, in the beginning i was slightly overwhelmed by the task at hand and thought i will never find the time or content to make a good blog, but along the way i have learnt many new skills and discovered many new things which i must admit before this exercise were just jargin to me. The middle part had a few complicated areas and by working through it with some of my workmates we managed to struggle through together. I enjoyed the end section particularly You Tube which is probably the tool that i would most use outside of the library, but that said i am greatful for discovering many new tools which i think will help me in many ways in the future. So on that note i end my journey a smarter web user ......

#22 audiobooks

Audio books online for free fantastic. Had a look around the various links, not sure if it something that i personally would use but i appreciate its use for others, i'm more into the downloadable music than the book, prefer the good old fashioned book in hand i think thats part of my generation i get too easily distracted and audio books tend to lose me and i drift off.............

#21 Podcasts!!!

yay so we keep ticking along and are now very much in the business end of things... so on to podcasts; i think podcasts are great and a fantastic and easy way to discover various things on the internet. Podcasts are great as a learning tool as web 2.0 has shown us. My favourite as a music lover would have to be ITunes, what a great way to see what is happening in the great music world around us....if only this was available in the 80s when music was really happening!

#20 YouTube...How i love thee let me count the ways!!

Yay so i finally make it to my favourite; YouTube, how could you not love something that allows you to track down all those fantastic music videos from the decade fashion forgot!, yes my beloved 80s. YouTube is such a great way to share and explore so many random videos that we may never have got a chance to see!. For a fanatical Fleetwood Mac fan like myself i just had to put a mac clip on my Blog. This one that i have chosen is fantastic because it has i think 5 clips which cover the early days right through to 'the Dance', awesome everyone a winner. Anyway to sum up i love YouTube i'm not sure how it can be beneficial to libraries but it is so smart i'm sure it will find a way :)

#19 Web 2.0 Tools

Just had a good play round looking at the Web 2.0 nominees and winners, what a great tool i really liked it, easy to navigate and just gives you the top three ( according to them but hey who am i to argue), but i thought it was great and a real time saver, in terms of libraries you can just direct someone straight to the one place and let them explore for themself and make up their own minds.

#18 Web -Based Apps

Zoho ho and a bottle of rum....well i have just had a little play on Zoho and what a great idea i can not believe it has not been done before!. The abilitly to work on a document regardless of what computer you are on is fantastic. In regards to the library world it is a great tool which will allow borrowers to work on their own documents regardless of if they have a memory stick or floppy disc etc. The only drawback i could see was that even though i'm sure it will seem like childs play once someone is used to using it for my initial play i found it a little difficult to decipher the different tabs, oh well the best way to solve that problem is to play play play!!!

#17 PBWiki

So i have just had a nice little play around on PBWiki and thought it was pretty cool and good fun, added my Blog to the favourites, not quite sure if i have done it correctly as it seemed too easy (therefore you always doubt yourself when this happens 'surely i have made a mistake?'), anyway that seems to be all for now, and away i go again into another week of fun fun fun playing on my little ol Blog...
